RFID stands for Radio-Frequency IDentification.

What is RFID?

RFID stands for Radio-Frequency IDentification and is a type of wireless communication in which electromagnetic or electrostatic coupling in the radio frequency portion of the electromagnetic spectrum is used to uniquely identify an object, animal, or person.

Every RFID system has three components: a scanning antenna, a transceiver, and a transponder. An RFID reader or interrogator is used when the scanning antenna and transceiver are combined. The two different types of RFID readers are fixed readers and mobile readers. The RFID reader is a network-connected gadget that can be carried around or set to a surface. It sends radio waves to pass signals that activate the tag. After being turned on, the tag returns a wave to the antenna, which is converted into information.

What is the RFID control system in Delhi?

An RFID access control system is a type of key card or key fob system that employs RFID technology to validate the credentials of residents. RFID Control System in Delhi , at its core, allows wireless communication between a reader and an RFID tag. RFID tags were expensive and bulky when they were invented in the 1970s.

RFID access control system components

RFID access control systems are comprised of four components:

RFID identification tag: An RFID tag is embedded in a door key card or gate fob used by residents to enter the building.

RFID scanner: RFID readers are installed near the door to which access is controlled. They have antennas that receive data sent by RFID tags. The RFID system, whether active or passive, may also emit an electromagnetic field that powers the RFID tag.

The control panel: The control panel is a computer server that reads and interprets the RFID reader data.

Automatic door release system: If the control panel validates a resident's identification, it sends commands to the building's electric door strike. These instructions allow the resident to enter by unlocking the door.
