Attempts:

There is a 4-attempt limit to write NPPE APEGS. When you fail on the fourth attempt, you will have to wait one year and complete a mandatory Remediation Plan before you are allowed to register for a fifth attempt. APEGS staff will let you know with instructions concerning a Remediation Plan if you are not successful on your fourth attempt. If on the fifth attempt, you are not successful, your file will be closed, and you will have to re-apply.

Additional Professional Development:

As the APEGS NPPE is only one step to becoming a professional, members-in-training and licensee applicants are strongly motivated to view the following three online professional development modules by the time they get registered as professionals/licensees:

  • Professionalism and Ethics
  • Investigation and Discipline
  • The Law and Professional Practice in Engineering and Geoscience

The modules don’t make you prepared to take the Professional Practice Exam; they give valuable knowledge to prepare for professional practice.

Ethics Modules:

APEGS is happy to provide its members with access to free online ethics modules to let them obtain their annual verifiable ethics training. These modules are not compulsory but are given as one option to help members earn their ethics credit for the year. Completing a new module each year satisfies a member’s annual ethics requirement.
